The 5 Chip Star Poker Chip Trick is more difficult than the butterfly poker chip trick imo. Do not attempt this chip trick until you can do the butterfly trick.

Begin with 5 chips between the thumb and index finger. Allow 3 of the chips to drop between the pinkie and ring finger. See the http://www.pokerchiptricksvideos.com/Twirl-Poker-Chip-Trick.html page or the butterfly page for more information on this drop.

Bring the middle finger towards the palm. As the middle finger works its way back it should start to pivot the chip closest to the palm between the pinkie and the ring finger as well as the chip furthest from the palm between the thumb and index finger.

The chips should now work their way into the butterfly position except there are 2 chips between the pinkie and the ring finger. Here is where we go beyond the butterfly trick. The thumb comes towards the chip closest to the palm between the pinkie and ring finger. The thumb then pivots this chip down, around the pinkie in order to complete the 5 chip star.
